ABOUT
Riverside Education is a new education model that delivers tomorrow’s educational outcomes today.
In a world where individuality and critical thinking are in short supply, our aim is to deliver a relevant, inspiring, tertiary qualification for students aged 15+ who are seeking more than just academic outcomes. Students interested in participating in our 2016 pilot program, should register an expression of interest HERE.
As of 2027, all students will enrol in the tertiary course titled Entrepreneurship and New Business Management, which will equip them with the qualification to embark on a wide variety of different career options. This course is a stand-alone, dedicated online program which meets all Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) guidelines.
Where Riverside Education differs however, is that alongside this qualification, students will also have the option to participate in our unique Riverside Personal Development programs which include our:

When undertaken as a whole, we believe graduates will be in the extraordinary position of not only having the qualifications to move forward with ambition and confidence but also with a grounding in the skills to discernment, decision making, creativity and forward looking entrepreneurship.
WHO ARE WE
Riverside Education is led by a team of passionate educators and youth practitioners committed to supporting young people to thrive. Our team brings together experience from education, youth work, community services, mentoring, and wellbeing programs. We believe that learning should be engaging, supportive, and connected to real life. Through practical learning experiences, mentoring, and inclusive programs, we aim to help young people build confidence, develop skills, and discover pathways that support their future.
WHAT DO WE DO
Riverside Education provides tomorrow’s education today by combining strong academic
learning with personal development and real-life experience. Our programs are intentionally
small so that every student is known, supported, and challenged as an individual. Learning
moves beyond the classroom into the real world, where ideas are tested through projects,
conversation, exploration, and practical work. Students are encouraged to think deeply,
develop character, and discover their own strengths. We believe education should not simply
prepare students for exams, but for life itself. At Riverside, young people grow intellectually,
emotionally, and socially while developing the confidence to explore both themselves and
the wider world.
WHY WE DO IT
Education should help young people understand who they are and how they can contribute
to the world. At Riverside, we believe many traditional systems have become too large, too
standardised, and too disconnected from real life. Our approach is built on the belief that
learning is most powerful when it is personal, purposeful, and connected to experience. By
keeping our learning communities small, we create space for curiosity, reflection, and
genuine relationships. Students are encouraged to develop independence, resilience, and a
sense of meaning alongside academic achievement. Our purpose is simple: to help young
people become capable thinkers, grounded individuals, and thoughtful participants in the
world.
BOARD
Riverside Education is guided by a board committed to thoughtful governance, educational
integrity, and long-term vision. The board’s role is to ensure that the organisation remains
faithful to its mission: providing a modern education that combines intellectual development
with personal growth and real-world learning. Members bring diverse experience from
education, community leadership, and professional life, helping shape a learning
environment that remains small, purposeful, and innovative. The board supports the
leadership team, maintains strong governance and accountability, and protects the core
philosophy of Riverside. Together, they work to ensure Riverside continues to grow carefully
while staying true to the values that make it distinctive.
